Football fans in Nevada and throughout the country can take their shot at a guaranteed $8 million top prize this fall by registering for the 2023 Circa Sports Survivor Pro Football Contest at their nearest Circa Sportsbook before the first week of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday, September 7.
The rules are simple. Players will choose a different NFL team to win each week and your entry will stay in the running for the grand prize until you lose. Once you choose a team and survive the week you may no longer pick that team again for the rest of the contest. The last player or players standing at the end of the season will win the guaranteed $8 million grand prize.
Picks can be submitted every week at any Circa Sports kiosk or via the Circa Sports app in Nevada. Players from out of state can still play by registering with a Nevada-based proxy.
The contest costs $1,000 to enter and each person can have up to 10 entries. In addition to that, players can rebuy an additional 10 entries if you lose on the opening Thursday Night Football game.
Special Holiday Weeks
Players will need to choose wisely to survive up to 20 correct picks. This includes each of the 18 regular season weeks, as well as the special holiday lineups for Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday and Christmas Day, which will each be considered their own “Contest Week.”
The eight teams playing during Thanksgiving and Black Friday are Green Bay, Detroit, Washington, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, Miami, and the New York Jets. The six teams in action on Christmas are Las Vegas, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, San Francisco, and the New York Giants. Be sure to save these teams for the special holiday weeks or your entry will be automatically eliminated.
No Rake
The entire $1,000 from each entry will go into the prize pool for the contest and the last entry remaining will win the entire guaranteed-prize pool of at least $8 million. An entry is eliminated if the selected team loses or ties its NFL game that week and the contest will continue until one entry is left. If more than one entry remain at the end of 20 weeks, those entries will split the prize pool equally.
How Do You Make Weekly Picks?
Picks are due every week at 4 p.m. PST or before kickoff of the selected game, whichever might be earlier. For Thanksgiving and Black Friday, picks are due at 10 p.m. PST on the preceding Wednesday night of that week. On Christmas, picks will be due at 9 a.m. PST that Monday morning. Players can make their picks at any Circa Sports kiosk or on the Nevada-based app.
Players with multiple entries will have each entry treated independently, so you can make picks that contradict one another.
Where Do You Sign Up for the Circa Sports Survivor Contest?
Players must register each of their entries in Nevada, even if they are using a proxy service. To register in person, visit a Circa Sportsbook at Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas, Tuscany Suites & Casino, Legends Bay Casino or The Pass at Water Street. After you sign up at any one of those locations, you can then submit your picks throughout the season at any of Circa’s sportsbooks or on the Circa Sports app in Nevada.
All signups must be completed in person at one of Circa’s Nevada locations, and weekly picks for each entry must be made from with the state of Nevada.
Out-of-state players can still join the contest by registering with a Nevada-based proxy service. The proxy service will submit your weekly picks on your behalf when you are not in Nevada. Proxies must be present at the time of registration.
What is a Proxy?
A proxy is a Nevada-based person or service that enters an out-of-state player’s choice every week on their behalf. The process is relatively simple, but it does require a trip to Las Vegas to register for the contest. In most cases you will schedule a flight and set up a time to meet with you proxy representative. Your proxy representative must also be present at the time of registration, so they’ll meet you at the casino to join you for the sign-up process.
Once you’ve registered you will communicate your picks to your proxy service each week. Some services use an online portal and others are available via telephone and e-mail. Players from outside of Nevada can use proxy services for both the Circa Sports Survivor contest and Circa Millions weekly picks contest.
Proxy services are not affiliated with Circa Sports and the casino does not endorse them in any way. It is an independent service and players are ultimately responsible for their entries, so it is important to find a reputable service.
When is the Deadline to Register?
Registration will close at 2 p.m. PST during the first NFL week on Saturday, September 9. Players that register earlier have the option to choose a winner from the Thursday Night Football game on September 7 and you are eligible to re-enter before the registration deadline for each unsuccessful entry (up to 10.) The option to re-enter is only available for those that lose the opening TNF game.
