Okay, so there’s a reason they call it artificial intelligence after all. AI is now officially 0-1 in the survivor competition pool, but all hope is not completely lost. Now that a dramatic, and extremely exciting Week 1 of the National Football League is officially in the books, we now look to see what Chat GPT has to say about this week’s picks.
Favorite Pick – Kansas City Chiefs over Jacksonville Jaguars
Okay, I’m starting to sense some bias here within the artificial intelligence. Who would’ve thought that the AI is such a diehard part of Chiefs Kingdom? No matter what, it’s still really hard to bet against the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs. Before last week, Patrick Mahomes was (pretty much) statistically the greatest quarterback to ever play on season openers. The Lions battled hard and ended up being the better team that night, but it also goes without saying that not having the number one weapon on offense, Travis Kelce, was a huge part of that ending result. If Kelce is good to go, I really love this pick. Chat GPT says, “Historically, the Chiefs have been one of the most dominant teams in the league, especially following a loss.”
2nd Favorite Pick- Tampa Bay Buccaneers over Chicago Bears
Since we want AI to follow Survivor Pool rules, it will not be able to pick the Chiefs again, even though it made the Chiefs out to be the clear favorite. For this pick, AI went with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The main reason AI gave for this pick was that “While the Bears have shown potential this season, they’ve faced consistency issues in the first week.” The Chicago Bears were extremely hyped up going into week 1, only to look like the same old Bears that we’ve all been familiar with in recent years. While I’m not saying the Bears season is over, I think it’s safe to say that the Buccaneers looked much more consistent in the first game. The X-Factor next week will be Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield. If he can continue to throw the ball without any turnover issues, I LOVE the pick.
Riskiest Pick – Minnesota Vikings over Philadelphia Eagles
The riskiest pick of the week for the AI is Minnesota over Philly. After last week, it’s extremely risky to pick either of these teams going into week 2 of the Survivor Pool. Philadelphia nearly gave the game away multiple times within the final five minutes of the Patriots game in Gillette, and the Vikings just couldn’t get past the hump. Chat GPT says “Depending on the roster changes and improvements made by each team before this week, this game could be closely contested”. AI seems to be extremely conflicted about this game, and I am too. Proceed with caution before selecting either of these teams, as I would wait to see how things shake out until later in the season.
Least Favorite Pick – Pittsburgh Steelers over Cleveland Browns
To put it lightly, the Pittsburgh Steelers looked awful last week. The Cleveland Browns, however, looked like they could make some real noise in the AFC North after beating up the seasoned Cincinnati Bengals. Chat GPT says “In recent years, matchups between these two have been fiercely contested, making it hard to pick a clear winner.”. I could easily see the Steelers turning things around, but second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett looked fairly shaky in the season opener. Nothing is impossible with head coach Mike Tomlin, as he is constantly putting his team in a position to compete. Having said that I believe the Browns will keep the good times rolling with another win in week 2.
Looking forward, Chat GPT has officially taken the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their week 2 pick. To keep up to date with the AI’s pick of the week, and to see if Chat GPT can get to .500, check https://survivorsweat.com/ for more information.
